Statement:

My field is the field of becoming.

I work with heart-led changemakers and those ready to grow.

I believe creativity is the apex of transformation.

My work is driven by love, devoted to delight, rooted in nature, and signified by writing.

Over the past 20 years I've seeded and stewarded spaces for creative courage — from grassroots collectives to visionary organizations. This body of work is the ground I now stand on.

For the ones walking toward a future shaped by creativity, wholeness, and a felt relationship with the wild — my work is an invitation to your threshold, and your renewal.

Bio:

Dawn Breeze is a creativity advocate, change agent, and internationally awarded artist whose work lives at the intersection of art, ecology, and social transformation. Born on Martha's Vineyard, she lives between the mountains of Vermont, the Hudson River Valley, and the coastal fields of Italy.

Rooted in the belief that creativity is a catalyst for connection and change, Breeze has spent over two decades designing transformative learning experiences with progressive institutions, visionary entrepreneurs, and global organizations.

She is the founding director of Place Corps, a nonprofit education institute offering fellowships, residencies, and community-based learning grounded in knowing, loving, and serving place. In 2016 she established Instar Lodge, an acclaimed cultural space in Germantown, NY, that showcased hundreds of emerging and established artists. Her other projects include Wayfinding: Imaging History with (Our)story at Olana State Historic Site; Creativity + Courage™, her signature participatory workshop series; and mutual aid and educational projects such as The River School and Germantown Together.

A published poet and curator, Breeze co-edited the acclaimed Girls in Trees with the late Rebecca Godfrey and authored Breath 40x, inspired by her studies with poet Bernadette Mayer. She holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College, where she received the Spirit Award twice.

Her work is guided by a commitment to creative courage, ecological belonging, and collective renewal.
